Residents of Caboolture real estate may have noticed an increase in tourists over the last three years, which has subsequently lead to a strengthening state economy – something that could be beneficial to everyone living in the Sunshine State.
The third DestinationQ forum held earlier this month illustrated these degrees of growth, with Premier Campbell Newman stating that there have been 27,000 new jobs created in the Queensland tourism industry over the last three years – and more than $3.5 billion invested into the economy over the same period.
"We promised to listen to the mums and dads who are operating tourism businesses through our DestinationQ strategy and forums and this approach has been successful," said Mr Newman in a 16 September statement.[line break]
"This important industry will create the jobs that today's children will have in the future so we must continue to support it."
Now could be a great time to get involved in the local tourism industry and prepare to reap the rewards of a growing Queensland economy, riding the wave of the state's rising popularity among the Australian states.
