The latest endorsement from the Moreton Bay Regional Council was for a multi-million dollar, 30 year master plan that will see the South Pine Sports Complex revolutionised. As one of the region's premier community sporting facilities, this could be great news for the owners of Caboolture real estate in the near future.
Deputy Mayor and Division Nine councillor Mike Charlton said feedback from the community and local sporting groups had been reviewed and incorporated into the plan, directly influencing the final result.
"The South Pine Sporting Complex master plan is the blueprint for improvements and additions to the site as our community grows over coming years. It's a blueprint that identifies infrastructure priorities as government and sporting club funding becomes available," said Mr Charlton in a February 24 statement.
The plan involves the development of key infrastructure, playing surfaces and open spaces in five precincts across the 74 hectare site. These include a senior AFL oval with shared cricket and hockey clubhouse, croquet lawns, 12 court tennis facility, BMX facility, the expansion of indoor sports centre and gymnastics facility, synthetic turf fields and dog agility sport infrastructure.
These developments could be great news for local residents looking into maintaining a healthy lifestyle, with development expected to continue into the near future.
