Once you've made the move into property in Narangba, you'll find there's no shortage of things to do and places to visit in your local area.
Some of these have recently been recognised at the 2014 Queensland Tourism Awards, which celebrates the best of the best throughout the state.
The area scooped three awards, including gold in the Major Festival and Event category for the Woodford Folk Festival.
Mayor of Moreton Bay Regional Council Alan Sutherland explained how the event fought off competition from other high-profile offerings, including the Falling Back to Earth Exhibition.
"The Woodford Folk Festival has confirmed its reputation as the Sunshine State's premier destination event by remaining fresh and engaging, and it's based right here in the Moreton Bay Region," said Mr Sutherland.
Two other accolades were also won on the night, including a silver medal in the local government award for tourism, as well as a bronze for the outstanding contribution made by volunteers.
Mr Sutherland noted that the area is making a name for itself as a premier tourism destination and these latest awards are testament to this fact.
