Owners of Caboolture real estate are in a lucky state, as the local council has appealed to the community about the future growth of the Morton Bay region. Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Allan Sutherland has announced the region's new draft planning scheme is to be released in the next week, and has asked for feedback about the area's development.
"It's a strategic blueprint for the sustainable and affordable growth of our region, while also maintaining the lifestyle we love for the next generation of Moreton Bay residents," said Mayor Sutherland in a June 30 statement.
"We're already one of Australia's fastest growing areas and with a population of more than 530,000 predicted over the next two decades, a whole-of-region approach to urban, coastal and rural planning has never been more important."
Mayor Sutherland stated that feedback sought now would help determine the growth of the region heading into the the next two decades, providing a guideline about how residents want to live, work and play in the community.
If you're interested in viewing the Draft Plan, it can be accessed from 4 July onwards, with comments welcomed until 15 August – ahead of the final plan release later in the year.
