Constructing your own home could be a brilliant avenue to consider taking in the coming months, especially for first home buyers interested in securing the Queensland First Home Owner Grant.
Building activity is growing steadily in Australia, as shown in the latest Housing Industry Association (HIA) Winter National Outlook. This activity may even encourage you as a first home buyer to take out a loan and build your own slice of Caboolture real estate.
HIA chief economist Dr Harley Dale said the construction industry's role in the national economy was huge and should be encouraged heading into the future.
"New dwelling commencements, the key metric for the sector, are forecast to hit over 184,000 in 2014, which would be the second highest level on record, before maintaining a historically high level next year. There is also some evidence to suggest that renovations investment is mounting a sustained recovery from the decade low reached in 2013," said Dr Dale in a 11 August statement.
