Getting out and about in the local community is a great way to keep up your fitness and health, while engaging with the locals living in your area. With spring just around the corner, now could be a great time for residents of Caboolture real estate to uptake the Morton Bay Council's 10-week fitness challenge.
Lifestyle and Amenity spokesperson and Division Four councillor Julie Greer said the free program was aimed at helping people develop healthy routines and get active in the local community, motivating them with walking groups and a whole range of different activities.
"From September to November, accredited personal trainers will deliver the 10-week group challenge in local parks throughout the region. The parks have outdoor gyms and the personal trainers will offer instructions on how to use the equipment," said Ms Greer in a 5 September statement.
"The classes provide a complete workout and cater for all levels of fitness through a range of aerobic exercise and resistance training."
Classes run from Monday 8 September through to Sunday 16 November and bookings can be made on the Healthy and Active Morton website or by calling (07) 5433 2052.
