The volunteer marine rescue services at Bribie Island are hosting an event on 11 October for families to bring their young ones along to get an up-close look at the various services offered by this civil group. Moreton Bay regional council's councillor for Division One Gary Parsons said the latest in marine resource, fire fighting and policing would be available for demonstration.
This could be a wonderful event for residents of Caboolture real estate to bring their children along to for a fun, educational day.
"Bring the whole family and get up close with our local emergency services heroes. There will be a jumping castle, stalls, free giveaways and plenty of emergency services personnel on hand to give you advice," said Mr Parsons in a 26 September statement.
Education is the basis of prevention, and providing the local community with this knowledge could be a great way to help prepare them for any potential issues that occur in the future. There will be local firefighters, police officers, ambulance personnel, Red Cross volunteers, marine rescue staff and many more.
This event is part of a statewide campaign called Get Ready Queensland, which aims to prepare the area for the upcoming storm season expected to sweep the region.
