Residents of property in Morayfield will have access to yet more fantastic sports services in their local area, as significant funding is announced for one of the region's complexes.
The South Pine Sports Complex (SPSC) is to receive $1million from the state government, which will be used to upgrade facilities and offer more opportunities to people in the local area.
"Sport and recreation are huge parts of the Moreton Bay Region lifestyle," said Moreton Bay region mayor Allan Sutherland.
"Facilities such as SPSC play a vital role in developing a range of life skills while also encouraging health and wellbeing."
In addition to the money allocated by the state government, Moreton Bay Council has dedicated an additional $10.5million to the project.
Among the plans for the cash will be to create a new full-size, flood-lit AFL oval, as well as a clubhouse that will be used by a variety of local sporting groups.
SPSC is just one of many facilities on offer to residents of the local area, so if you're hoping to make the most of them and move to the region, it's worth enlisting the help of the experts.
