The resources available to Caboolture residents have recently been given a boost with the introduction of co-working spaces – a great option for independent contractors or those who currently work from home.
The Moreton Bay Regional Council is leading the project, based in Redcliffe at the Sutton Centre. The construction of these innovative workplace hubs is underway, with opening set for January 2014.
The Council has announced a December 11 open house for the new initiative – the second of its kind following one in September that attracted over 50 local businesses.
The open house will familiarise businesses with the spaces and provide them with the ability to comment on the progress so far.
The shared office spaces are an attractive option to freelancers, independent contractors or those who travel frequently.
Working with many others can lead to workplace synergy that would otherwise not be achieved when working alone.
Other positives about coworking include the ability to grow your business networks, reduce office overheads (eg internet access), work on collaborative projects and reduce feelings of isolation.
If you've got Caboolture real estate and typically work from home or have a start-up company, head along to the open day on December 11 at the Sutton Centre between 9 am and 5 pm. It's free to attend and you could be inspired by the business potential.
