The latest round of community funding has been announced by Moreton Bay Regional Council, and if you're living in Burpengary real estate, it's possible you might benefit.
More than $262,000 has been made available this month, and it'll be shared amongst 49 local organisations for a range of different projects.
Among those set to benefit is Pine River Rapids Baseball Club, which will be getting $14,571 to re-turf and resurface its playing fields and mounds. Meanwhile, Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre will be using its cash injection to sun-proof its playground.
Junior members of Bribie Island Golf Club are sure to love its new clubhouse when it has been constructed, while the Mt Nebo Residents Association will be seeing upgrades to its kitchen.
Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Allan Surtherland said over the past six years, the council has offered $2.5 million in grants and free loans to members of the local community.
"Their work includes community and youth development, facilities development, environmental development, arts and culture development and community events," he noted.
Mr Surtherland explained how these latest grants would make sure organisations were able to carry on with the good work they're doing in the area.
