Community asked for bridge name suggestions

By James Brown

A $9million bridge connecting Caboolture with the areas further to the north is expected to be finished in June. The Moreton Bay Council has asked the local community for name suggestions for the new piece of infrastructure.

If you live in Caboolture real estate, this could be a great chance to become involved with the growth of your local community. Division Three councillor Greg Chippendale has encouraged people across the region to put in their submissions before 2 April.

"There have been plenty of suggestions so far including naming the bridge Ray Bishop Bridge, Dick McKean Bridge and Harry Mills Bridge," said Mr Chippendale in a 19 March statement.

"Once completed, the bridge over Lagoon Creek will be another vital piece of infrastructure to our region's road network, helping to ease congestion and better connect residents with one another and the community."

This could be a wonderful opportunity for a local resident to be immortalised in the region, so be sure to get your submissions in and try your hand at naming the bridge over Lagoon Creek.

If you're interested in buying property, be sure to get in touch with a local real estate agent in Caboolture today.
