The $13 million Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex – AFL Precinct will host the Brisbane Lions and Sydney Swans on March 8 2013 for its grand opening.
Moreton Bay Regional Council mayor Allan Sutherland announced the match just last week and those with Burpengary real estate and homes in the surrounding areas will appreciate having such a great facility close by.
The development could pull state league games, and the Brisbane Lions could use the space for pre-season games and training.
Australian Football League (AFL) commissioners visited the new Burpengary precinct in November and many believe that this sealed the deal to host premiere teams for the first kick-off.
During the November visit, AFL chairman Mike Fitzpatrick said "the quality and functionality of this is comparable with the best community sports facilities in Australia".
The Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex – AFL Precinct boasts two competition-standard ovals that are fully lit, a practice field and a high quality club house.
Moreton Bay is "one of Australia's fastest growing urban areas," according to the mayor, so those seeking Burpengary real estate would do well to get in touch with Ray White today.
Secure your place in this fast-developing area that's supported by great local infrastructure, and be sure to catch the game in March!
