Check out the annual Hills Carnivale this May

By James Brown

There are a number of different events going on throughout the Moreton Bay region, but be sure to check out the Hills Carnivale next week.

The George Willmore Park will become a vibrant festival of colours, sights and sounds on 9 May. Moreton Bay Regional Council Division 10 councillor Brian Battersby said the Carnivale was a celebration of the local community and the spirit permeating the area.

"The Hills Carnivale is a big part of our community and promises a rich cultural feast of food and entertainment in 2015. From midday, the Hills Carnivale dishes up food from around the world with entertainment over five hours on two main stages," said Mr Battersby in a 29 April statement.

At the event there will be attractions like interactive kid's shows, steel drum demonstrations, samba and more!

Head along with the children and enjoy an afternoon of activities – including a jelly eating competition – before the sky is lit up with fireworks at 6:30 p.m.

If you're the owner of Caboolture real estate, next weekend could be a wonderful time to pop along to with your family!
