Why would you ever want to get away from Caboolture? Well, in the unlikely event that you do have to pry yourself away from the idyllic town – maybe you've got friends and relatives in another part of the state, or you just happen to be going on a trip – there's some welcome news from the federal government for you.
The federal budget's record $13.4 billion investment in Queensland's infrastructure – we'll give you a few seconds to rub your eyes in disbelief – will include millions to improve the highways out of Caboolture to other parts of south east Queensland. Looks like that Caboolture real estate you've been holding on to could be worth a bit more in some years time.
D'Aguilar Highway, which leads from Caboolture to nearby Kilcoy, will get a range of safety improvements, like new turning lanes and guard rails, improved line markings and upgraded intersections. This will make it a lot easier to navigate through the highway.
If that wasn't enough, Bruce Highway will see some major operations between the Gateway Motorway and D'Aguilar to improve its safety and reliability, making it easier to travel between Caboolture and Brisbane. If the reason you didn't explore home loans in Caboolture was out of fear of being too far from the big city, you've got no excuse now.
